Situated by the River Arun and next to Stopham Bridge, Pulborough, The White Hart is one of the most picturesque pubs and restaurants in West Sussex. At the beginning of 2014 the terrible storms caused the river to burst its banks and the pub had to close due to extensive flooding.
After a change of ownership and a lot of hard work The White Hart reopened in the November where Martyn and Lyn are welcoming both thirsty locals and hungry tourists alike with equal hospitality. Click on the Directions button (at the top of the page) for a map of where to find some of the best dining in the county.
With an excellent selection of ales, wines, spirits and soft drinks you'll always find a warm welcome from Martyn, Lyn and Darrel (our maitre d') . The extensive and competitively priced menu offers original and delicious fayre lovingly created by head chef Jamie and his team exclusively for the White Hart. We use locally sourced meats and produce to bring you a true taste of West Sussex that's receiving excellent reviews.

This is a very popular venue. In summer you can sit outside in a variety of seating areas and walk over the nearby historic Stopham bridge now closed off to traffic. In winter you can sit inside in one of the cozy bar areas. Mine host and the staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. Well worth a visit.
